Folks, we have an incredible league and let me tell you why; several folks have not only come forward to lead and support our league but a few of them have done so without having been asked. Out of their kindness and selflessness, they’ve willingly volunteered their time to our league and have accepted positions on our team. It is truly our good fortune to have them on our team (in no particular order):
Ryan Brubaker (aka ‘Charisma’ as Jefferson calls him), SWM Rec’s Product and Process Improvement Director, is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Movement International (www.themovementintl.org). He brings with him his experience in leading a global organization from start to finish.
He and his family (Lisha, Barrett, and Hudson) joined SWM Rec in the spring and fall and their family has been an integral part to making SWM Rec the success that it is. Some of our Coaches have been introduced to him as he was one of our guest speakers this past week’s at SWM Rec Coach U event.
Shannon Luczak, Volunteer Workforce Director, she has worked in and with the healthcare profession for most of her career and saw a need SWM Rec had had with our Volunteer Workforce. She will be working to improve this area of our organization and we are very happy to have her on our team.
‘Hi everyone! I am so excited to help this league in a volunteer capacity. Often times soccer is the first exposure of team play for kids and without volunteers, these leagues don’t exist. I am happy to help move it forward! My husband and I, Dr. John Luczak, moved to the area December of 2018 and have a 1 and 4 year old. I am currently taking time off from working as a women’s health nurse practitioner to spend time with our kids and impact our community in alternative ways! Although volunteering for a soccer league is not on my vitae, I have gotten to witness the fun this sport brings to our household and am so happy to help out! Looking forward to the Fall 21 season!’ – Shannon

Beth Staley, Parental Experience Director, she leads the organization in the area of Parental Experience. Our goal with her position is to help improve the experience with our league from the perspective of the parent. We all know the league is for our kiddos, however, our Parents are a BIG BIG part of the experience.
Staley will focus on those things that our league can do better to ensure our parental experience is the best possible. Prior to joining our leadership team, Staley served as a Mayor in California, President of Child and Youth Services, VP of Youth Sports and Activities, and several other community leadership positions.
I am fortunate to know Ms. Beth through my involvement with Lakeshore Rocket Football. Her son Blake, and husband Mike were both a part of the team I coached. Mike Staley was an assistant coach of mine and is slated to be head coach for our league. Mike Staley is a Veteran of the United States Army, and I am very grateful and appreciative for the service he and his family provided to our country. Please give them a warm welcome and thank them for their service to our league. Much much appreciation from SWM Rec to the Staley’s.
Jacob Pschigoda, Coach Director, is a Customer Service Manager at the Walsworth Publishing Company and has provided countless hours of service to our league, either as a Coach, SWM Rec Cup Week Coordinator, and most recently as a Coach Trainer. Coach Jake was my introduction to Lakeshore Youth sports and my family’s experience with him as our Coach was phenomenal. Therefore, I wanted others to follow his example.
‘Deb and I moved to Baroda in 2012 and we are so glad to have found this area. We love our homestead, neighbors, this wonderful community of people we are surrounded by. What we are most proud of is our three children, ranging in age from 6 to 11. Jacob is playing SWM Rec soccer this Fall and Samuel plays Rocket Football on the Junior Flag Black squad. Our third, Echo, is taking a run at gymnastics this fall 🙂
I have coached soccer through LYSL and now SWM for the past 7 years and have had a lot of fun along the way. I look forward to helping this great organization to continue to go further, and to joining this already incredibly strong team of folks.’ – Coach Jake
